Happy Mother’s Day!
We made it to Sunday. I’m telling you – a week is a long time! But I made it.
Ready to see what Day 7 of Week in the Life looked like for me?
I woke up at 6:15 but decided it was much too early to wake up. Went back to sleep for another hour then got up to make the coffee. Back upstairs with my coffee, I spend some time getting caught up on my blog reading. Around 8:30 I take a shower and get dressed to walk the dog. It started raining on our way back but luckily not too hard. After I fed Rocco I washed more stinky dishes then folded some laundry until it was time to go to church.
10:00 a.m. Mass
11:15 a.m. Time to pick our lunch. I opt for SMASHburger since it’s probably not a hot spot for Mother’s Day celebrations. I was right. After some yummy burgers we went to Safeway to buy food for dinner tonight, bread for lunches tomorrow, and a latte for me.
When we get home the kids get busy cleaning out the car – my Mothers Day gift request. They even vacuumed and wiped it down with clorox wipes!
While the kids were working outside, I was folding laundry inside. Good news – I folded everything that was in the basket plus washed another load or two.
After laundry I went upstairs to work on getting things done for school, pay bills, and other miscellaneous tasks.
5:00 p.m. Bella went to Grandma’s house then Ron and Felisa made it home from the beach. Just in time to cook my dinner!
6:20 p.m. Family dinner. I splurged on filet mignon because it was super on sale. Add baked potatoes and caesar salad and you’ve got a yummy dinner. It was good to get caught up with everyone before another busy week ahead.
After dinner we got to see all the stuff Ron and Felisa bought off the clearance rack at Ron Jon Surf Shop. They got quite a haul for $80! Rocco was happy to have us away from the table. He played with his tennis ball and his felt scrap and was being quite silly.
Party’s over – time to get ready for school. I printed some notes to send home and sent a few email reminders about May Day next Saturday and Mrs. V’s birthday party.
