March might be known for madness, but around here it brought motivation! Our No Chapter Left Behind crew kept the pages turning and made serious progress on those many books adorning our shelves.

Each month, members select books they already own (because let’s face it, those TBR piles aren’t shrinking themselves). Optional themes add a little extra fun and direction—and March brought us three:

🥾 March Into Adventure – From epic quests to road trips and magical journeys, we turned the pages on stories that took us places—real or imagined.

💚 Green with Envy – We looked for green on the covers or leaned into nature-themed reads. A little visual inspiration goes a long way!

👩‍🦰 Women’s History Month – We honored bold women—whether through powerful nonfiction, unforgettable female leads, or books penned by trailblazing women writers.

From epic quests to thought-provoking nonfiction, the shelves delivered—and so did you! Keep scrolling to see what our members read this month (and a few thoughts about the books)—and maybe find your next book pick!

While it did not fully hold my attention 100% of the time it was very interesting to hear about John Muir’s crazy explortations of the Yosemite area and Alaska in the late 1800’s!

Interesting historical fiction about Bess Myerson, who won Miss America in 1945. She was the first and still the only Jewish Miss America.

A story of a woman pursuing a better life for herself and her daughter in the 1960s/70s.

I loved the story. Especially the description of the landscape and the blossoming of the love between the main characters 😊

Love it. Favorite characters, all the dedicated Vietnamese bank workers. Favorite part was when the author decided to steal an airplane even though he didn’t know how to fly it.

Theology of Style by Lillian Fallon book cover

I loved this book! As a Catholic who has always loved personal style and putting together cute outfits, this framed the idea of personal expression through clothes from the perspective of everyone’s uniquely created souls. The utilization and commentary of the philosophical and theological sources was very well done.

This was a beautiful book about a beautiful person. Although simple, her simplistic way of living and loving God and her neighbors is what is most inspiring about this little saint.

The various hardships and terror of Ousman’s journey across Africa are unimaginable. I don’t know how he maintained his optimism and drive to survive the trials of his migration. Recommended reading for anyone who wonders what it’s like for refugees and illegal immigrants as they brave treacherous conditions in search of a better life.

Be sure to check back next month to see what we’ve read in March—or better yet, join the No Chapter Left Behind Book Club and be part of the fun!

Pick a book, follow the themes (or not!), and enjoy the journey with fellow book lovers. Remember – every finished book is a win!
