We’re all looking for a connection. A story. A laugh. In today’s digital world we are connected 24 hours a day, anywhere on the globe. Yet sometimes it feels like we’re all alone. We crave a place to gather – a watering hole where we can hear the latest news or laugh at a silly joke. We want to know that we aren’t the only one struggling with a particular issue. We want to share something new we’ve learned. After all, who doesn’t love a bit of interesting trivia, or a short story of inspiration or adventure, or just a good laugh? It’s so easy to get caught up in the minutia of life, forgetting to stop and smell the proverbial roses.
Smelling the roses? Don’t worry – it’s on “the list”! Do you have a list? Mine is sometimes a bit of a joke. A favorite saying of mine- “It’s on the list.” This slightly increases the chances of something actually getting done but is by no means a guarantee. I spend my mornings teaching 5 year olds and the rest of my day trying to do everything else that a wife and mother is supposed to do. I’m laid-back, sometimes creative, a little curious, and always ready for a last-minute adventure. My sense of humor gets me through life. If I’m laughing, even at myself, then I’m not crying, right?
